Insurance HELP

I just found out my insurance is BCBS of NM  Does anyone have any experience with them???  Any info on Criteria or acceptance would be a great help thx!! Chriss

Sorry  this is so late, I just now found this part of the sight. I also have the same insurance. I got an approval after 5 days. You have to be at least 100% over your ideal body weight. Note, that it's 100% not pounds. That's with NO health problems. If you have health problems (diabetes, blood pressure, etc) I don't think it's that high.  Hope this helps!

Chriss, I have the BCBS with State of New Mexico. It seems to be a pretty good plan. It's the one the state employee's get (the PPO). Let me know if you need anything else!

i have bcbs through state of nm and had no problem getting approved, as far as the doctor, i chose who i wanted because there are no surgeons in NM doing lap band and that was the procedure i chose good luck to you
