You have to take the good and bad...

Well I have to admit, Dr. Blackstone's office is awesome. Within two days of approval I have a surgery date . Unfortunately, two of the other doctors have left the practice, which has created quite a wait . My pre-op appointment is 4-11-07, and my surgery is set for 5-3-07. I am incredibly grateful to have a date, but am frustrated that I have to wait another 4 and ½ months. I have been working at this for so long; it is so hard to be patent when the reward is so close. Still, I feel confident in my doctor's skill, and that I choose the best doctor for me. Besides that gives me plenty of time to loose the weight they want me to loose and prepare. God is good, and I am lucky to finally be on my way. Happy Holidays everyone.

This is fabulous news, Richard!!! I salute you for your brave decision although like you said it has to wait another 4 months to achieve! I heard Dr. Blackstone might get replacement surgeons which could bring your date up closer, but don't hold your breath. Do keep us posted on your plans, your pre-op weight loss. And if you get a chance to come to Albuquerq for a support group activity that would be awsome! Happy New Year, woo-hoooooo!!!!
