FEEDBACK NEEDED

I am very new to this site .I am starting my journey to WLS (hopefully). I have my consult with my Dr. On oct. 26th. I have been open with my friends about the surgery and our citys local newspaper has contacted me about following my journey though WLS. They would like to to a series about it for their health and fitness section. I have mixed feelings about it. Although my husband is very supportive of my decision I am not quite sure how I feel about it. Any opinions ? Thank you m.A.

Hello, First let me congratulate you as you begin your WLS journey. I too recently got my consult set up, but due to insurance reasons, I have to wait until November 27th. I have not been contacted by the Farmington times, but I think I would be happy to have them follow my progress if they wanted to. I believe that people benefit from hearing our stories. I spent many hours reading the posts on this site. It gave me courage and inspired me to continue to pursue this course of action, especially when my plans came crashing down around me. Reading what others experienced has given me a sense of what to expect. However, this is a personal journey, and you need to be comfortable sharing your experiences, because they will be unique to you. I hope this helps.
