I CAN eat whole wheat - I can eat white - but the soy/flax bread has the the protein/fibre I look for. If I'm going to eat bread - and still I can only eat one slice - it's gotta be the best bang for the slice. It was quite a while before I could eat bread post-op though. Months if I remember correctly. My post-op diet said that after 2 weeks I could eat 1/2 slice crunchy toast - man did I look forward to that. But it did not go down well at all - so it was a long time until I tried it again.

Hi Tracy,

Haven't heard a whole lot from you lately.  How are you feeling?  How is your weight loss doing?  How are your spirits?

Congrats Jenn,  Looks like you've gotten past your first stall.  I read on another site that for the first 6 weeks our bodies will be in an inflamatory state and sometimes the scale will not move or may even show a gain of a pound or two.  This is because of fluid retention which will fluctuate from time to time for the first 6 weeks.  The other site says if you see a gain during this time keep in mind that with what you're eating you could not possibly gain fat.

See you Thursday at noon Jenn.
