Finally get to meet with Dr. Pace today. Now I'm getting nervous. What if he turns me down. That would feel like getting a death sentence. I pray for good news today.
I have to check out of my hotel before my appointment so I won't be able to post how things went until I get home tonight. Hopefully after today we will have a few more on the site.

Hey Tracy,
That sounds awesome - you are so lucky to have the time to focus on yourself - I am finding it challenging now that I am back to work. We had a work luncheon meeting at a Mexican restaurant today and, while I only had three of them, my lunch was nachos covered in ground beef, cheese and guacamole! Don't even ask me about what happened this evening when I found out my favourite Chinese food restaurant that had been closed for renovations had reopened...
Actually, it wasn't too bad in the end. The great thing about Sleevie is that he doesn't let us really overeat. Otherwise, up-chuck time!
I find it is really important for me to religiously journal everything I eat, so when I make poor choices (like today), I still have the stats of exactly what the impact was - which I find very motivating to just do better the next day.

I had my follow-up with the dietician today, who is the new one hired permanently for the bariatric program - her name is Rhoda Crawley and she is very nice and supportive. You will all have her guidance once you get close to your pre-op diet time.

P.S How do you add a photo on here?? I tried several times but it says my file is to big but I manged to put one in my profile blog/ who knows where...lol and It worked there. Thought maybe would be good so people see me as a real person but Im still a blank avatar..

Hi Terri, I'm still feeling frustrated but you know how that feels.....I'll try Janice again on Friday but like most days I get the same results:( I'm going to wait till Oct and If nothing I"ll be starting the process of paying for my surgery in Mexico...I really need to have my life back before I get more depressed. I was excepted for Dr Christou in Montreal last year to do my surgery but his cost for me is 32,000 because I have Malignant Hypothermia which is an allergy to an agent in the anesthetic. So that sucks. Always something my dear. I'm not sure of the cost with someone with this allergy in Mexico but I sure hope its nothing or very little....the surgery there is 12,000 all inclusive with airfare and hotel so i guess I can look at it like a vacation...a very expensive vacation...lol...... Good luck on Thurday...I`ll be thinking of you....do u have to travel far to come here.
