Good for you - glad you got your appt and didn't miss it. Good luck - and as for dieting - my surgeon was Dr. Beausoleil in New Brunswick - and my surgery was 3 yrs ago - the general rule was no weight gain after initial consult - and they definitely looked for weight loss in the two weeks previous to surgery. But back then - the optifast/meditrim protein shakes were not the norm. Ask the questions you have tomorrow - write them down - I always did. Take care!

send you in so fast? We have 10 more days to wait...what surgery are you having done?

Will as you all know missed my call on Friday.Called in today and Janice said my appointment was tomorrow at 3:15.I said WOW that was quick,Janice said written on my chart was to be seen within 3 months.So they must have some kind of system set up there.
Was wondering if accepted do I start dieting right away?And for how long?

Tina, that is so nice of you to offer to do that. Bill will push me around, I want him to see Dr. Pace with me. He wants to be involved with all of it. I will meet you guys at the cafeteria around noon. He will sit at another table and wait for me. He understands that we would like to talk without a man listening in...LOL Do I go right down that hall just before the elevators?

It is so good to hear about this being done in NL. I am from Newfoundland but I have not lived there for almost 30 years. I'm in Ottawa but ended up going to Mexico for my VSG after being on a wait list for more than a year in Ottawa for RNY which was not the surgery of my choice, I hope all is well for you and I will check the NL forum more frequently.
Topic: Zip Lining at Marble Mountain!
My 50th Birthday is tomorrow. This weekend my husband and I went to Marble Mountain and stayed at the villa for 2 nights and went ZIP LINING!!!!! Yes - you did read that right! Always wanted to do it - and until I had my WLS and became a smaller, more healthy person - it was out of the question. So - just wanted to say to all of you - whether you are still waiting for surgery - or are just a few weeks post op - the sky is the limit! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
