Just getting started!
That sounds great, I am not sure of all of the appointment process yet all Raleen told me was about the information session. Although it would be good to know each thing you have to do in the process. I like being organized and I am have trouble with not knowing what to expect so I am always looking for more information just to keep my stress levels down lol

Hey Krista, I went to the information siminar but then had a one on one appointment with rayleen and the rhoda. I also had all my test done. only thing i have left is to meet dr pace and sign my consent :) Just wondering when your information session was held and how long after before you had your one on one meeting and your tests? You know we are all trying to guage a time frame. I hope you do get your surgery date soon!

Welcome Kash - and anyone else out there who are new to the board and i may have missed. I don't get on to check the board as regularly as I would like - but I remember how important the New Brunswick board was to me back when I was pre-op and then post op. I just couldn't get enough info. I had lap RNY - not the sleeve - my profile and blog is public - feel free to read away!
Hi Krista ,
And welcome!!! You are right you will find a tremendous amount of support on these boards. I have only been here since September and I have learned so much. I am hoping the information sessions are a first start - I am still waiting for mine too. I have not tried the liquid diet yet - Terrie did send it to me - so if you wish you may pop me your email address and I will could send it along as well.
I have started losing weight on my own - walking and tracking my calories. I journal everything I have eaten in the run of a day. I am getting used to feeling satisfied as opposed to full. There is a big difference. I have not tried the liquid diet yet. For now this is working for me and I want to wait until I meet with the dietician before I start it. I have lost 14 lbs in the last 3 weeks - not super fast but not super slow either. And I am lowering my BMI to make for a lower risk surgery. I walk every day...either on my treadmill, outside or to a DVD called Walk away the pound - actually you can get a version on youtube for free. :-)
I also use an iPhone app called loseit to track my food! Love it. When the pre-op and post op diets are in full swing this program even tracks your protein! WOW! Love it!! Welcome to the boards - it has been a fantastic experience for me!
Cheers,
Trina
