I have began my journey to weight loss! I  met with Dr. Pace in June, Then had my second appointment with, his team Aug 12th, And they went over all the details, and here I am on my second week of my liquid diet, ( any sugestions on what to eat, i'm starting to struggle with that.) . Today Aug 23, I had to go to the hospital to for my sleep test, I go in expecting to walk out with a bag and instructions on what to do with it tonight.   I walk in I don't think she really even greeted me, only to say take off your coat, and are you going to be able to sleep in that shirt!  Only to go in and be hooked up to everything then, You think someone would tell you wear something that you can sleep in.  Any how I'm super excited and very nervous at the same time. I will meet with Dr. Pace team again on September 2, and Dr. Farrell on Sept 8th for the results of my sleep test. SO if all goes well I will find out when my surgery will be then, they all said that it will be in september.  Thank you to everyone who posts, it is very comforting to read your stories.

Hi Angela!

Welcome to the forum! I had VSG with Dr. Pace in May and TOTALLY remember being outraged that no-one told me I had to wear something I could sleep in for my sleep test - I was in a dress!

Anyway, I have blogged about my journey, including my liquid diet - which I found the most difficult. You can check it out on my profile if you like. :) http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/jdeon/

I live in St. John's and would be totally happy to meet for coffee anytime, if you like. Also, I work in the HSC, so that's convenient.

You are SO CLOSE to making the most wonderful change in your life ever - stay strong!

All the best,
Jenn

Hi Angela: Congratulations on the beginning of your journey to good health.
It's too bad you didn't see my message about what to wear for the sleep
test. I did message that to someone else in here. It is witten somewhere.
I haven't done the liquid diet yet so I can't advise you on that. Tina has
mentioned eating sugar free Mr. freezes for something to crunch and you
feel like you are actually eating something. Jenn had broth. Maybe reading
her blog would help. Hang in there, and keep us updated on your journey.
