Can newfie help each other

I live in st johns, i had my bariatric surgery 2007, i went down from 350 to 185

too happy for that avheivement

the only bad thing,that we as a small community,dont have a support group to share our experiences

for that reason, i created a group in facebook, which will be private initially tell we all more confident to make it public

I am hoping i will find some through next week,if not i am going to close the group and all of us will be without support from others who went or will go through that experience

I joined the group - we'll see how many others follow. I personally know of 3 people local to me in the central area who have had lap-band or RNY. So there must be other pre/post ops out there!

Hi I live in western Newfoundland, I tried joining the facebook group but can't seem to find it. I had lapband in 2006 now waiting for BPD/DS in March.

Hello all, I am from S'ville originally but live in Manitoba now. Just had the sleeve done last Monday. Lots of new experiences. Lost 34 lbs thus far.
Where do people from NL go for their surgeries?

I joined, while I have not had surgery yet, I am considering the possibilites of such, and also face an obesity related disorder, call cushing syndrome which is putting on hold, any lap surgery but would like to be prepared for it..the facebook group page, is requiring you update to the new format before it is archived..thank you for accepting me in advance
