Need Help!

I am currently on 2 lists for WLS in New Brunsick.  My family doctor has recommended that I outsource surgery wait times in other provinces, the US or even Mexico.  This really scares me but my BMI is around 72.  If you can give me an idea of how long of a wait it is in other provinces etxc  I would really appreciate it. I called Medicare in NB and they advised that they will pay for surgery in another province  except Quebec but I need to find a doctor, then have my family doctor and the surgeon write a letter to the NB Medicare board to ensure payment would be made.  I'm lost at where to start so I thought I know...the great groups on OH can help.  I'm even considering going self pay if necessary

My love I feel for you... I live in Ottawa (But I will always be a Newfie) and the wait period is up to 8 yrs so I went States for mine, by the time I applied and got my surgery date was 6 months. my provincial insurance is Ohip and they paid for the surgery but travel expence was paid by me. People in Ottawa seems to go to the Dr. William Graber, in Utica New York.  He has a site. google his name and you will get it.  His other  partner Dr. Fritzer did mine. Apply for your provincial insurance after you read all information. He has a 1-800 number too.  His office will help you in anyway they can. I had RYN done on July 7, yes last week and I am down 21 lbs in 6 days/  Good luck my love and keep me informed.

there is a docotor in hamilton at st.joseph hospital who does then with in a few month , also thereis a doctor 9clinic)  at lewistown ny across the bridge 
there is about a 30 day wait ' i ahd nmine in yspilanti michigan itwas a month wait i am down 117 pounds

wait times in ontario have drastically decreased,  right now humber is referring patients from february onward to toronto western, which is involved in a group of 6 other hospitals taking on new patients since funding.

i got referred to humber in january, called to go to toronto western mid november, and im scheduled for surgery on dec 21 (they were going to book me for the 14th but 2 weeks of optifast didnt fall into the plans i have for the beginning of december)
