Topic: New to NJ board
Hi all-
Just wanted to say hello. I just now saw the NJ forum part of the site... wow huh? :)
Seems like this is a much smaller group of people with support and I think thats awesome. Is there anyone in the section that had a band over bypass revision? I just had this done on May 23rd and am down much more weight than I expected with just the original band an no fill yet.
I had surgery at Valley Hospital with Dr Melissa Bagloo, totally amazing surgen and would recomend her or Dr Strobe instantly... plus have a soft spot for Valley Hospital as well LOL.
Hope to make some new support friends, it seems since I signed on this site it has been nothing but positive vibes that no one who has not had WLS can understand.
Sorry if I'm coming across as majorly sappy... having a rough time with my friends and they adjusting to my new outlook on life.. has anyone else had this problem??
Hope to hear from anyone... and keep up the success stories... gives me hope I'm going to make it this time around.

Wow is right! Sugarpie....where does your doctor work out of? Sounds like Mine is NOT GOING TO BE THERE FOR ME...So suggestions welcomed. Think about it... at least i had my surgery... i wonder how many people Dr Baptiste let down who thought they were about to have their surgery?? I feel bad for those people...hopefully another surgeon will Help them out.

CONGRATS on the half-marathon. I was training for one in a few weeks, but got to 9 miles and couldn't run any more. So there is always next year :D!!

Stella, congratulations on your 1/2 marathon. That is wonderful!
Unfortunately I already have a roommate, and I'm reluctant to commit to riding together since I'm not sure of my plans yet, but I hope to meet you at the convention. If you want to send me a PM, I'll give you my email and we can stay in touch.

I think I am going to the OH event in NY this month but was wondering if anyone wants to share a room Friday night??
I thought I would leave the Morristown area around noon or 1 on Friday and stay the night...
Anyone up for it??
BTW, I did a 1/2 Marathon two weeks ago and it was awesome!!! who would have guessed ( I ran about 1/3 of it and walked the rest ) did it in 3 and a half hours!
