Announcing Meeting of Ocean County WLS Support Group

Just a reminder that the next meeting of the Ocean COunty WLS Support Group is scheduled for this friday, August 5. Although this group used to meet in Brick, NJ -- we are now meeting at Community Medical Center in Toms River - Auditorium A (7-9pm). We are limited to post op patients (or seriously pre op). Hi Nannette - I was wondering if this support group was for lap band as well. I live in Jackson and I am looking for a support group. teresa

Yes, we welcome post ops of all types of WLS surgery - although most of us have had the RNY, we do have a few who have had the DS, Lapband, or VGB. Hope to see you there! Additionally, there is a group that meets at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch on the fourth Thursday of each month. Dr Boroa sponsors this group, and they have lots of lapbanders since that is one of the surgery that he performs. You may want to check that out too.

Hi Nanette. I emailed you, but thought it might be better to reply to your post. My husband and I would like to attend tonight. We live in Red Bank...and I am 2.5 weeks post op. Where is the Auditorium in the hospital? Do we go through the main entrance? Thanks! Jennifer

Im 11 days post op and would like to go to the Support Group. Any info would be great.
