Reminder - Lakewood OCWLS Meeting, Monday December 15th

Just a reminder that our regularly scheduled meeting of the Lakewood OCWLS Support Group will meet on Monday, December 15th at 7pm at Kimball Medical's Center for Healthy Living, 198 Prospect Street, Lakewood, NJ.

Who can I count on to meet me there?

I expect to have our 2009 schedule soon for both the Toms River and Lakewood locations, and will send that out as soon as I have it confirmed.  In the meantime, here is the usual 'disclaimer.'


The Ocean County Weight Loss Surgery (OCWLS) Support Group is a peer-to-peer group which is open to individuals who have undergone various types of weight loss surgery, or to those who are anticipating or planning this kind of lifestyle change.  Supportive family members and friends are also welcome.   Our group members have had their surgeries performed by various WLS surgeons and hospitals, and we are not affiliated with any specific WLS surgeon or hospital.   Pre-Registration is Not Required.  If you require any further information, feel free to contact me.   Note:  OCWLS Support Group employs a self-help model and does not give medical advice.  Any information provided and/or obtained during the meetings is for educational purposes only and is not intended nor recommended as a substitute for professional medical advice. is that IN the hosptial? can anyone show up? how many people usually come?

No, the Lakewood meeting is not IN the hospital.  It takes place in the building at the back of the parking lot -- some people call it the LIGHTHOUSE.  Yes, anybody can show up - no need to register.  We usually get about 15 in Lakewoo meetings, and about 30 in Toms River meetings.
