When did you get to go home from the hospital?

My RNY surgery is tomorrow @ 10:00 am and I forgot to ask the doctor when will I go home. I know I will probably find out tomorrow but just curious. When did you all get to go home?

I had open RNY and I went home after 3 days. Others in there who had lap stayed one night! Congrats and good luck!!!!

3 Days for me too, I had open RNY.  I will be praying for you tomorrow.  Let us know how you are doing.

I had lap band with complications, was in the hospital for a week, operated on Monday, another procedure on Thursday and home on Friday because I would not stay another day.

I had my surgery on a Friday, they went back in to check for a leak on Saturday, and I was discharged on Tuesday. Good luck. Hope your surgery is easy, your recovery quick, and your weight loss a huge success. Big_Ideas

good luck i went in on wednesday -- home on friday -- pain pills to sleep on sat & sun -- driving on monday -- open rny everyone is different :) the best of luck to you in the morning roberta

3 days for Lap RNY surgery on Monday / drains removed & released on Wed it's now Fri & I'm still in mild pain from the one bandaid under my chest that I think was where the main insision was - I'm seeing my dr for my first checkup next Wed

Chrissy, You might be home reading this already! I had surgery on a Tuesday morning.  I was released Thursday morning by 11am (would have been sooner, but hubby over slept and I needed to wait for my ride) Welcome to the bench! Pam
