Dr. Edward McLean - Morristown - Comments?

Hi all - Newbie here -- have my first 1-1 consult with my surgeon Dr. McLean early next week -- would like to hear any comments about him, his practice and this hospital (Morristown Memorial). Planning on having the band -  have done all my homework, have PCP approval, initial insurance approval........on my way...... Thx, Adrienne

morristown is a good hospital, not familiar with your surgeon though. good luck with everything, jacki

had some test there, because Newton is a feeder hospital, but for my heart surgery I went to NYU, they do more up to date procedures that Morris town just dont do yet , for wls I am having the DS,(visit the DS forum) another procedure You cant get in Morristown, but is available in the University hospitals in NY.
I was sent to Cornell by several of the wls in morris county for the DS, cant have rny, incompatible for my tummy.

Hey there! Dr. Ward and Dr. Mclean performed my RNY in '05 @ Somerset Medical Center, I unfortunately am not too familiar with Morristown Memorial, but that was an option for me, I just chose to be closer to home. Both are excellent surgeons, and the staff at Allied is awesome. I  know you will be in the best of hands. Hi,   I just had the Lap Band done on November 27 by Dr Ward and Dr McClean assisted him. I believe they always work together. I had the surgery at the surgical suite at their James St Morristown office. Everything went great. I got there at 6:45 AM and was home before 11 AM.  I am so glad I did this. Dr. Ward and Dr. McLean did my band on the 5th of November.  I only met Dr. Mclean in passing at the Somerville office but they both always work together.  I went home the same day, no pain only slight discomfort from the gas.  I highly recommend them!
