Nannette, I was just curious how you even found Dr. Capella? He must be good for you to travel two hours when we have so many Drs. in good ole New Jersey. Do tell.

I have looked into him. Ramsey is a bit far for me though. However, I understand that when you find an excellent surgeon traveling shouldn't be an issue.  Was hoping there was a recommendation for a surgeon more central. Mary

Dr Abramowitz in N. Jersey has an excellent rep, and so does Dr Eckland in Shrewsbury  also.

I'm not sure how much weight you want to ultimately lose, but if it's significantly more than 40 pounds I would recommend waiting until you've lost what you want to lose.  Your PS results will be much better. CitS

We had a lecture at our support group in Livingston, NJ in June by Dr Lalla. He recommended waiting 4 months with no weight loss until you have surgery. You will have a major surgery and lose more weight and have the same stomach skin issues. You don't want to have another tummy tuck after you lose more weight. Besides most tummy tucks aren't covered by insurance for WLS. The only one that may be covered is the lower abdo which I can't recall what that surgery is called.
