Question on how you count your weight loss...

I know this might sound like a stupid question, but when you guys say "I am down 29 lbs" or "Down 30lbs", is that the number since your surgery, or do you count the weight you lost on the liquid diet (or whatever diet you where on) before the surgery?

 

Hi, I count down from surgery - that, to me, is the real weight loss due to surgery.

Hi -  I had to do a 2 week liquid diet b/4 surgery and lost 16pounds. I include those pounds in my total weight loss - I worked real hard for them and I consider them to be part of the whole process. 

I didn't have to do a pre-op diet, so I count from surgery - but I lost 27 lbs on my own, which I DON'T count. 

i count down from our surgery dates -- it's the only number that matters to me -- weight loss since surgery is 63 lbs in 6 months
