Lapband Erosion

I have been told that my band has eroded into my stomach. My doctor tells me that he is going to have to go in and remove it and perform the bypass. Anyone with this same situation out there?

We have someone in our support group that has had this same problem. Dr Brolin in Princeton ended up performing a "mini-bypass" on her and she is doing well now. Unfortunately, she does not have e-mail so I can't put her in touch with you. She usually comes to our Toms River meetings the first Friday of each month if you want to try and touch base with her. I have heard of erosion from the Lap band, but I have also heard that they can put another band on in its place, but you have to wait 6 months for the stomach to heal from the erosion...
