Choosing A Surgeon - A Journey

I do understand that. It is a very expensive procedure. Although I would, of course, prefer my insurance pay for the procedure, I am prepared to finance it if I get turned down by my insurance. Fortunately, I knew about the 6 months of documentation Aetna requires and my doctor started documenting months ago when I first started considering the surgery. I hope you are able to find a doctor who accepts your insurance and who you are comfortable with.

hi i used dr. earl noyan, who operates out of robert wood johnson in Hamilton. he was great, and always answered all my questions and concerns. he does not have a big time operation if this is a concern of yours. he took my insurance which is blue cross/horizon POS. hope everything works out for you.

I had Dr. jean-baptiste. I can assure you that you made the right choice to go see him. All his patients absolutely love him. Surgery and recvery both were great for me and everyone that i know who had him. Look no further! Good luck

I'm not sure where Westfield is,but I highly recommend my surgeon Dr. Nauveed Iqbal. He is in Bridgeton,NJ. It was a ride for me to get there, but I would do it all over again with Dr. Iqbal. He is kind, caring,an exellent surgeon, and his office staff is great also!

I had Dr.Pupkova-I absolutely love her-she's like no doctor I have ever met-caring and truly interested in you as an individual. She was with Dr.Bertha and Abkin but is now on her own.She took me on even though my case was complicated and did an excellent job-I have lost 110 pounds since surgery in June 2005.Her number is 973 338-9200 and she is in Bloomfield. Have you tried Dr. Nausbaum's partner, Dr. Michael Bilof. He was my surgeon and I know that he accepts some insurance plans that Dr. Nausbaum doesn't accept. You may want to give him a try. Carla

I also had Dr Nussbaum recommended to me by 3 different people, so he was my first choice. I, too, was disappointed when I found out he didn't participate with my insurance but I found out his partner Michael Bilof does, so I met with him. I am still involved in the Aetna pre-op dance, but I'm happy with Bilof, and gotta believe I was lead to him for a reason. I think you'll like him.

Both Dr. Bilof & Dr. Nusbaum are the best. (Not that I'm biased or anything) P~
