Hi Brianna,
I am 2 years out and understand about losing the motivation.  I have placed before pictures on the fridge and snack cupard.
I do have my Hubby who is 3 years out so the 2 of us help each other.  I hope you can find someone to buddy up with, but feel free to PM me or put something up and we can chat here.  Good luck and keep up working the tool.

Topic: Support!
Hi everyone,

I had RNY just over 1 year ago, and in total, I have lost almost 100 pounds. It has been, and still is, a significant struggle to keep the weight coming off. It's slowed down significantly, as expected, but unfortunately...so has my motivation.

I'm looking to see if anyone in the Southern (Concord) NH area is looking for a workout buddy - or just someone to chat with to help keep eachother motiviated. Whether you are pre-op or post-op, this would be very helpful to me if anyone is interested.

Thanks!
Brianna

Meet Me (Katie Jay!) in New Hampshire...A Rare Opportunity for the WLS Community

(When you are one of the first 5 people to register for my exclusive seminar, you'll get a free book!)

Dear Small Bites Reader,

Many weight loss surgery patients contact me about how well they did initially, only to start to regain after some months or years. Or they haven't regained, but they sense they are changing and know they need to do something before the regain begins.

Other patients find life after surgery more challenging for other reasons, like relationship issues, boundaries, transfer addiction, and other stresses.

No matter what, I've got information you won't hear anywhere else to help you on your journey.

I am thrilled to announce I am coming to Concord, New Hampshire, on August 11, 2012, to provide a seminar for people who want to create their best WLS life after bariatric surgery!

Topic: CONCORD NH EVENT 8/11/12
WWW.NAWLS.COM  is sponsoring an event on August 11th on EMOTIONAL DESSERT.  I've regained 30 in the past few years because I've ignored the rules and ate my way through stress. I REFUSE to waste this gift I was given and my 2nd chance at health. If you're in a similar sitch or know a post-op who is...OR having trouble dealing with old food habits, please consider signing up for Katie Jays' seminar for August 11th in NH. This event includes lunch and lots of great info! If you've never seen Katie in person, she is a wonderful speaker and will have plenty of great info!

Please see more info at www.nawls.com  SIGN UP SOON AS AUGUST 11TH IS ALMOST HERE!

Topic: RE: Has anyone used Medicaid in 2012 for WLS
Your best bet is to call the program you are looking into and ask if they take medicaid.  I went through the Portsmouth program so I have no idea about Concord.  2 years ago Portsmouth did not accept medicaid, but it could be different now I am not sure.  I would just call and find out, also call the hospital involved to make sure that is covered.  You don't want to get OK from the surgeon and the hospital says no, or vise versa.  Good luck.

I was wondering if anyone in NH has used medicaid for the WLS in 2012? Does it take long  to be approved?  Also has anyone gone through the Concord program. Im trying to gather as much info as possible. Please let me know what steps I would have to take im interested in having surgery done.

Thanks

Topic: RE: Support groups in Southern NH
Hi Dani,

they have a support group at CMC in Manchester, if you call the hospital I'm sure they can direct you to the right office for info.
I also think they have one in Portsmouth too but not sure on that one.
All the doctors in Nashua no longer practice here. Both hospitals cancelled their programs several yrs ago.

We bought a toshiba for our business and are very happy with it.  We run quickbooks, internet, email and microsoft office.  We did some research before buying.  However, originally we had an Acer which lasted 9 years, and the only reason why we got a new one was because the Acer could not support the new quickbooks program.  Not enough memory, ram, etc.

I just  use a computer for sites such as this, facebook, email, and some other sites. I don`t dowload anything onto my computer, well I get photos transfered from my camera , but then  I burn the pics to a disk and delete off computer. (afraid someone somehow will steal pics of my grandkids )

So all I need is a very basic machine, I was thinking Toshiba
Thank you for your reply!!
