Topic: Thursday's Plan
OK so work has been nuts this week and planning is going ok, have been doing ok with the eating even when plans change on the fly.  We went to a new little place in Rochester called Joanie B's and I was able to have eggs & cheese and bacon.   Well that is what I ordered lol I was able to eat about 1 egg w/ cheese and 1 strip of bacon, any other RNY's out there still only eating about 6-8oz at 10 months out?  I think I may need to add protein back to my coffee to get out of this stall.

Pokes, today is a new day and better choices, you did what you did and it is behind you now.  Make today better than yesterday and know we all have days like that.  Hugs

Today
Breakfast  - Egg cheese & bacon wrap
lunch - 4oz Pork chop and steamed Sweat peas
dinner - Haddock and steamed veggies w/ potato (maybe)
snack - turkey and cheese slices
snack Greek yogurt if I need it

I use the whole suite and we just updated to Microsoft 07.  If you can get training in this it is very helpful.  Even if you are going into the medical records it will be very helpful.   I hope things work out well for you and good luck with the job search!

Have you completed the process and going in for PRE-OP testing?  The testing is simple and quick, they do it all in one day and you can be in and out.  After that I think it was 1 week later that I met with Dr. Gens and 10 days after that was my surgery day.  It happened quickly once the testing was done.  Good luck and shout out any questions you have.  This is a great group.

Good Luck
Laurie

Topic: OT-Microsoft Office Suite
I have a question that is a bit unusual but will put it out there anyway.  Do you use Microsoft Office suite in your office or in your job?  If so can you tell me which version your office is using?
I am asking because I lost my job this past January.  I am 56 and my previous job does not exist in today's job market.  I will be eligible for training thru the unemployment office and the lady said something about certifying me for Microsoft Office Suite.  I have basic skills in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.  I really want training for something in the healthcare field but she suggested this.  Perhaps because this is a program paid for by the government and as she stated they want results.
Any assistance you could provide would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Valerie

Thanks!  I figured it would be something like that :-)

I'm the one who took the phone call... I'm a teacher and the kids were working on a project when my cell rang so I answered when I saw the number :-)

Topic: Wednesdays Plan!

Yesterday went well until I got home and made cookies for my co-worker. Not only did I eat cookie ends but I ate too many; went to bed feeling like poo... but I deserved it!! Was a little upset with myself since I made the right choice out at dinner (chili ) but its another day so I'm  not going to dwell :)

Today's Plan

Breakfast: Lower sugar oatmeal & a banana
Lunch: chili with low fat cheese (Watch out!)
Dinner: Turkey Tacos
Snack: No sugar added pudding

looks like today will be warm enough for a walk so I'm excited about that :)  tonight I was thinking gym but I think since I can get a walk in I'm going to go spend time with hubs since I haven't seen him in 2 days. Tomorrow's crappy weather should get me to the gym though.

Hope everyone has a good day!!!

I'm trying to remember my 1st time in and I don't remember anything being scary or anything. What did you do when you went to weight in? Was that it? I remember my 1st trip being weigh in, talking about the options (and choosing) then going over everything that needs to be done (weight loss, classes, physical therapist, one on one with Dr. Wagner).

Nothing to be scared or worried about!

Good Luck!!!

(& I don't remember anyone taking a call during the meeting.... I must have been out of it!)

Hi guys!!!

I have my FIRST pre op appointment next Tuesday!!!  I am SO excited!!!

okay... and nevous...

What should I expect?  I've already been in once to "weigh in" so I know where to go and all.  I took the call in the middle of class (I'm a teacher) so I couldn't ask any questions :-)
