Topic: CMC program anyone else currently going through it?
I have 16 more pounds before i hit my 8% weight loss goal. I also have my 1st nutrtionist appt on Oct 30th and exercise appt Nov 9th. All of my appts and weight loss should be done by end of December then i only have psyc eval left and meeting with director/surgeon... hoping to be done sometime in February if all goes well. My deductible resets March 31st and i would have to pay another $4,000 uhg. Anyway anyone else currently in the program through CMC?

Topic: My Blog
Hi Guys!

I started this blog a while ago, then forgot about it, but just remembered it! Just thought I'd share if anyone is interested. I love to connect with people who are having similar experiences. Maybe if I knew someone else was reading the blog I'd update more often!:)

The program is AMAZING!! Dr. Connie Campbell is a genius... and it is hands down the best decision I ever made!

The guidelines are strict  - FOLLOW THEM!! Use the tools they give you which will help you stay the course. I am a little over a year out of surgery and went from 251 lbs to 157lbs this week.  It can be done... the first few weeks SUCK!  The mental games your head plays with the rest of your body is hard, but remember you are truly detoxing from all the crap.

I am back on carbs, but small amounts as I was so afraid of what all the protein would do to me. Most sugars kick my butt, I will admit I still have some vices but I work out 6 days a week, I eat pretty well, and when I dont or do not remember to SLOW DOWN AND EAT THE RIGHT WAY I pay for it.  Boy do I pay for it... the pain and miserable feeling lasts for an hour.  Dumping Syndrome even now is NOT FUN!

This will be an amazing adventure. It will feel like even after surgery that it takes forever to see the changes but in reality it goes FAST! You will wake up one day and see so many subtle changes in your face, clothes, attitude... it makes all the hard work worth it!

GOOD LUCK!
I agree 100%!!  There are not enough good words I can say about Dr. Campbell!  I am now one week post-op with NO surgical complications whatsoever!! Done at 7:30 am, in my room at 11am and up walking the halls an hour later.  Home on Thursday.  Friday and Saturday were a little tough but Sunday I woke up not feeling like I had not even had surgery!!  No pain.......nothing!!  I am already able to get almost all of my protein in and am well over 64 oz of fluid a day.
My husband is scheduled for October 30.
Only good things to come!!

If you call All State I know they do life insurance.  I am not sure what the rates are.  I can give you my agents name if you would like.  I don't want to push you or make you feel weird.  Also try the colonial Penn company it is supposed to be for people over 50 from what I understand.

Hope this helps.
