I just wanted to say welcome, I am not in that area, so I am not sure about work, or apts or housing.  I hope you find our little group enjoyable.  I know Portsmouth groups are open to any one, but it may be a bit far to travel for you.  I hope all turns out well for you.

Good luck.
Laurie

Topic: Moving into the area in the fall....
Hello!  My new husband and I are looking at moving into the Derry/Salem area this fall.  I just wanted to check out OH for NH to see what everyone was talking about and to see if I can make any new connections.  Will eventually need a doctor and support group but first I need a job and a place to rent (priorities right!).  My husband grew up in the area but hasn't been there in about 20 years so it will be a change to him as well.  If anyone would like to say Hi or have any thoughts on places to look for rental (have a dog and cat) please don't hesitate to contact me.  I am looking forward to making new friends and getting back onto my weight loss journey.  Have been slacking and put back on some weight!  Need to revisit this site!!  Take good care and have a great day!  Sharon

Thank you.

I have read the posts on the main board and there are a lot of people that have gone through a reversal.  Almost all had the same symptons I have had and it seems the reversal was a big help.  I will learn on Thursday if that is my next step. Three years of operations, hospital stays, and trying to get well/gain weight has taken a toll on me.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Dawn

I had nooo idea that there was a NH Message Board on OH....yay!  Just found this out after, oh, three years.  DOH!

Since we're all practically neighbors, I thought I'd let you know about my radio show - that's hosted in Nashua, NH for WLS and WLS Goodies and Giveaways.  :)   The new season starts tonight at 7pm EST and you can tune-in two ways:

Radio:  www.backstagepassradio.com
Live TV Stream:  www.justin.tv/divataunia

Would love if some of my NH neighbors would tune in, and even call-in to win!  When prompted ,just be the right caller at 347-857-2052.  Here's a full list of what prizes you can win tonight:

Many thanks, and best wishes to all!  :)

Cheers,

Topic: I need your help Creating more Birthdays
Hello NHites.....  I want to invite you to join the group I am with (a fabulous group) and walk for a great cause.. you don't have to walk for the whole 18hrs...  If you don't want to join you can still come down to the events and walk.  If you don't want to walk you please help thru donations....

I am this for the many of my family member who have died due to cancer.  I am mostly doing this for a friend of mine's grandson who is only 3 or 4 who is currently fighting cancer.  No parent  nor child should have to suffer from this disease.  So I invite you to join me in this fight against cancer and to help create more birthdays.

If you are unable to view the message below,

Hi!

I am emailing you because I just registered online for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

When I registered, I was issued my own personal fundraising web page. It explains what Relay For Life is and why I chose to get involved. My web page also has my fundraising goal and how much money I’ve raised so far.

Please visit my page, and while you’re there....why not make a donation to the American Cancer Society?

You will be helping create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. What could be better? The amount you donate will count toward my fundraising goal.

Thank you so much for your help. If you ever have questions about cancer, call the American Cancer Society toll-free at 1.800.227.2345. Their cancer information specialists are available to speak with you 24/7, 365 days a year.

Topic: What are you eating Monday?
Hope everyone had a great weekend!  I had a blast went dancing Friday night with some Friends and had a blast.   Worked off some calories and had a good time with good people.

Today my plan is a little off (left my lunch box at home oppssss) lol but anyways I always keep some things here to be safe

Breakfast was egg, cheese & bacon wrap
snack - Protein bar
lunch - chili
snack - Cheese stick
dinner - haven't shopped so.....not sure I think burgers on the grill will work :-) stuffed with some Cheddar cheese and then a 1/2 ear of corn.  OK now I am hungry guess it is more water for now.
have a great day!!!!

I wish I had some words of wisdom for you.  I just wanted to say I am thinking of you and that I hope you find relief soon.  I have never heard of a reversal, but I would think if you put this on the general board you may get more response or help.

Good luck.

Topic: RE: I just want a salad!
Well there is good news and bad news the bad news first.  That craving drove me nuts for at least 6 months after my surgery.  I love crunchy foods and having my surgery in early June when all the fresh local veggies were perfect didn't help my mood.

Good news It does get better.  When you can add more variety to your diet and you can add a few (1-2) of steamed veggies or your lettuce leaf with your meats.  It takes a while to train your brain, they operate on your body not your head.  The pain is not worth the crunch TRUST ME!!!! lol

I have had a couple of salads but I make sure I make them and that I have the amount of protein I need on them.  Hard boiled egg, chicken and  cheese.  I only use 1 oz of salad mixed greens.
It fills me up way to much to eat more of it.

I will be 1 year out on the 15Th (wow can't believe that) and I am down from 268 to between 152 -155.  It is an awesome tool, just remember it is all worth it in the end and you can do this.

Hugs
Laurie
