Topic: So discouraged ...
I am 6 1/2 weeks post op and have not lost an ounce in a week!!!!! I have only lost 19 pounds since surgery on May 10th. I lost 50 lbs. pre-op and just don't understand why I am not losing weight !!! I drink the water, the protein shakes and small amounts of food. We went away to Boston for the weekend last weekend and I brought my own food, walked a ton and had gained 1.2 pounds when i got home two days later and got on the scale !!! WTF !!!??? really?? am really wondering if all this work was worth it....

I agree with Lisa. I did alot of protein shakes or bars or breakfast and lunch and a small meal for dinner and that worked great.

Thanks, I am so happy, I am still trying to lose the last few pounds that I want to drop, but I am happy. I know the "Honeymoon" period is over and now it is how bad do I want to lose and keep it off. The hair I was afraid of losing or that the curls would go away, nope stayed and actually got curlier. Never thought that would happen. As for loss as long as I am getting enough protein I don't seem to lose as much . Hope you are doing well and that things are going well for you.

I had the same issue, in fact I weighed in to "lock-in" my weight soon after the seminar and then when I went back I went up seven lbs.! It was a struggle, I kept motivated by changing my routine a bit...instead of coming home and watching TV, I would walk, or meet up with a friend at the gym. Replacing two meals with shakes was very hard for me...what I did instead was very close portion control and lean protein meats..I cut out all sweets and soda and stuck to as much of a lean diet as I could....the protein does help with hunger pains...my best friends were the protein bars recommended by Jacquie (the nutritionist)...I would recommend meeting with her.
For me I also started doing some work with an energy practitioner (polarity, reiki, reflexology) I found this helpful in being patient with myself and the process...it helped me focus on me a bit more.
Good luck...you will get there, don't get discouraged!

You HAVE to do it!
Replace 2 meals with a protein shake then eat a sensible meal. Put in your mind that you NEED to get the weight off before moving forward. If you really want it, you will do it.
Good luck!

Hello everyone.
Im very new here. I started the program in Portsmouth NH and have found everyone really caring and kind. I have one problem,
I cant seem to get the pre op weight off. Does anyone out there have any ideas on a fast way to get it off.
Thanks
Nikki

Topic: SURGERY DATE SET!!!!!!!!!
July 19th - 1pm
I couldn't be more excited! Thought for sure I was going to be told I needed to get as low as I could on weight... or that I wasnt a strong enough candidate! In fact in the surgeon's eyes I am one of the best. In decent shape, no co-morbidities... able to walk without any difficulty!!
She is so much younger looking than I pictured! So excited and so nervous... booked all my pre-op and post op appts so that I can focus now the next 4 weeks on dropping as much weight as I can. Taking the weekend to go shopping and get things together so I can start the restricted calorie diet next week... thinking I am just going to stick to the shakes! Makes life with 3 kids on Summer vacation easier!!
YAY!!!! I could very well be in ONE-DERLAND by August!!
COME ON JULY!!
