Awesome Deb !!! I got stage five today, down 10 more since last appointment with nutritionist. Down just a few ounces shy of 75 lbs!

You can do it ! Sounds like you have the plan in place, and make sure you are drinking LOTS of FLUIDS !!! Good luck to you. Dr. Campbell is very strict about the weight loss, she was my surgeon too.
Topic: One Week From Today
I will be having my surgery...
Of course went to see the LNP at Dr. Campbell's office and have put ON 3lbs since my last visit! UGH.. so discouraged! I havent been eating enough and over excercising for what I have been eating so my body is holding onto EVERYTHING!
So we are going 3 shakes a day and a salad with protein at dinner, I have cut out the coffee and the diet soda... been focusing on the things I can have AFTER surgery to help get my mind on the right track.
I am nervous now... I dont want to get all the way to the surgery day and have them say, nope you didnt lose enough weight or you are no longer a candidate! I have worked so hard even with all the up's and down's to get here.
Happy Tuesday everyone!!

Topic: I'm looking for a good plastic surgeon... can anyone share their experiences
Hi, I live in NH and I'm getting ready to get some of the extra skin removed after GNY surgery. I know of a couple plastic surgeons.
(I heard a lot of good about Dr. Feins in Manchester NH, so he would be my first choice right now)
(Dr. Brown in Bedford, NH but I had never heard of him before my doctor mentioned him...don't know of anyone who has been to him)
If anyone could share their experiences and who they were happy with, it would be greatly appreciated. I am extremely nervous about this as I have heard some horror stories out their.
I would also be willing to travel to MA etc. if it meant finding someone good.
Thank you so much,
Swiss

Thank my lucky stars! After over a week plateau, I am now losing again! YAY!
I didn't believe it when the nutritionist told me to eat more and get more protein, but it worked. Who knew? I'm now under 200! What a feeling! I'm over half way there. Happy dance time!

Topic: RE: Cravings
Thanks Laurie, I have tried hers and the boys don't enjoy them. I hate making two batches one for them and one for me & Hubby. I am hoping I don't crave them again for a while, I can manage with 2 for the day, but DH didn't let the boys finish them off and kept at the last 4 throughout the day. Thanks again I have gone to eggface a few times now.
Hope you have a great weekend it was so great here!

Hey Sookie,
check out theworldaccordingtoeggface.com (I think thats it but just search eggface and it shoud go right to Michelle's site) she has an awesome pancake recipe that you use ricotta cheese and they are great. I'd give you the recipe but when I want to make them I just go to her site...I usually only crave pancakes 1-2x a year. and I now only use her recipe. Yours look good too but the cheese one's have a rich flavor and go down really easy....Have a great weekend...Laurie

Topic: Cravings
OK so this morning I woke up craving pancakes, not a good thing after weight loss, no protein and all carbs. So I put my thinking cap on and came up with this better alternative. It is not something you can eat often, but if the craving hits it is a better choice than plain pancakes. Also the batch is big enough for a family of 4. It should break down easily so you could make it for 1 as well. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did this morning.
2 cups Jiffy baking mix - 16g protein
4 scoops unflavored protein powder 84 g protein
2 eggs 12g protein
1 cup milk 8g protein
mix the Jiffy & Protein powder together with a whisk
crack the eggs and stir them, then add to the jiffy mix
add the milk and stir
let stand for about 5 minutes and cook like normal
It makes 20 pancakes = 6g of protein per pancake.
I know it is not a great choice, but it still is better than a plain pancake.
I used sugar free syrup from Market Basket and had a great breakfast. I took 20 minutes and ate 2. I made up for it later in the day with greek yogurt, chicken and steak for dinner.
