I agree with Tracey, I did the same thing toward the end, proteiin shakes for breakfast and protein bars for lunch and a small dinner and that works like a charm, especially down for the last six pounds.  yYou are doing great !!!  Keep it up and just think how happy you will be to reach that goal.

Good luck to both of you, Nikki and Tracey!

I lost 25 pounds pre-surgery by exercising at least an hour every day. I wrote down and counted every single thing I put in my mouth. It helped to have a smart phone and use the "myfitnesspal" app. You can also go online and use it for free. It's amazing.

I drank nothing bu****er. Not even diet soda. Diet soda tricks your body into holding on to fat. You can't have it for a while after surgery, so give it up now and get used to it.

I made sure I ate low-cal, low-fat, high protein, low carb and stayed at about 1200 calories a day. (I'm 5'1" and was 265 at the start.). I lost 21 pounds in one month. You CAN do this. You have to want
it and be committed. Once you change your mind, you will change your life.

Work with your body, not against it. Best wishes!

Topic: Annoying Stall / Plateau

It is annoying. I know it's a marathon and not a race, but for the past week, my scale has been playing with the same two pounds. Lose, gain, lose, gain.

Why is it slowing down already? Surgery was just May 3rd. Now, I get that I've lost 50 pounds since then, but it's just come to a screeching halt.

I'd rather lose a tenth of a pound each day, instead of nothing and then 10 days later drop 2 pounds. What the heck!?!?

This is normal, right?

Hello and Welcome! I'm from Manchester and only 3 months out. It's a bit of arrive, but there are monthly post-op meetings at CMC in Manchester, if you're interested.

OK so I have not been posting a plan, and therefor I have not been sticking to my plan.  I seem to get sidetracked if I am not accountable to (myself) and have this plan posted.

So today here is my plan for Monday

snack - Greek Yogurt w/ splenda & fresh picked blackberries
lunch - Chili & Cheese
snack - cheese stick

Glad you are here, I drive through Dover every day.  I live up north a little more in Milton.  Shout out if you have questions.

Not sure of your work schedule but Dover has lots of free concerts downtown and Thursdays during lunch time.  The farmers market is on Wednesdays and lots of other fun things.

Welcome again.

Hello David, welcome to NH.  Not sure where in NH you are.  Hoe things  are going well at 3 years.  We can be a quiet group but feel free to throw out what ever you need or want.  I try and check here at least once a day (weekends not so much) but I am an early riser and here early.   May you enjoy our sunshine and nice weather.  Where did you relocate from?
