Topic: NY OH Conference in October
Anyone interested in participating in the fashion show for the Long Island, NY OH conference on October 22, 2011 please contact me to provide information and photos.

The OH Fashion Shows are open to anyone who wants to participate. After having surgery and working so hard to stay on track, you deserve to show off a bit! We ask that you send high resolution "before" photos and a brief blurb stating your surgeon's name, surgery type, starting weight and current weight (your choice). OH will put them all together to be shown on a large screen while you strut your stuff on the catwalk to music! This starts at 8pm on Saturday evening and we ask that you provide the outfit that you would like to be photographed in! To keep with our schedule, you may be asked to join the other models by 7:45pm that evening to coordinate the lineup.

Upon submitting your photo, you are giving ObesityHelp your permission to use your likeness on our website or in our magazine.

Any other questions? Just ask!!!

Thanks everyone.  I am still doing well.  I hope to reach a number that I have not seen for so very very long!  It has been very elusive so far, but I am going to keep moving.  I am so very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet you all, and am honored to say I am a part of one of the most wonderful groups ever!

Hey Martha

First of all CONGRATULATIONS!  Give yourself a hug! And while you are there a pat on the back!

We all have these moments and at some point are ready to get back on the wagon.  I too will be celebrating that 3 year mark next month and if someone tells me that I took the easy way out, I swear that I might do that person bodily harm because it certainly isn't.  You still have to keep yourself accountable.  Thank goodnes for the team at Portsmouth to help us with that.  All we have to do is reach out.  There is nothing wrong with that!  In fact, its great that you did before you felt that it was too late.

My husband just had his by-pass surgery and while he was going through the process I went through it with him.  It definitely was helpful and reminds us what we need to do.  I especially loved auditing Jeff's class again and recommend that if you can - do it!

Meanwhile - don't beat yourself up, just pick yourself up, brush off the dust and give it hell.  You know you can and you will!  If you need an ear to vent - I am only one town over.

That is funny. I had no problem on Untamed, but after the Yankee Cannonball I didn't dare do more because i had to squish my butt in.

Hello and nice to meet you!

Congratulations on your success and continued commitment! It's people like you that newer people like me look up to for inspiration and guidance.

Thank you for reminding me that it's a tool, not a cure-all, and that I will have to work at it to insure a lifetime of success. After all, the surgery doesn't fix our brains or bad habits. I also know that catching it at just a few pounds is easier than having to start all over again.

I don't know where you go to meetings, but there is a post-op support group at CMC on the last Wednesday of the month, if you can make it.

Thanks for sharing and best wishes for continued success!

Topic: RE: Tough Eating Day
Thanks everyone! I'm feeling much better today.

Warning: kinda gross TMI ahead! I figured out my problem later last night when I had a nasty bellyache. I ended up in the bathroom pooping for quite a while. When I thought about it, I don't remember the last time I went. I think I was just very backed up.

I've never been regular, especially not since the surgery, so I'm going to have to pay more attention to that area. Maybe my body just didn't have any more room for food?!

Feeling great and much lighter today. Ha ha ha.

Debbie,
you are only 6 months out, don't get so upset you will get to a point where you can eat more than what you want, or should.  Do not beat yourself up about the choice you made yesterday it is in the past.  Make a better choice for today.  If your pouch is not happy try going back a stage and give it a little rest.

If you are having a sandwich do you toast the bread?  I can't do plain bread, shepherd's pie can be very heavy in your pouch if you are having a tough time eating.  I try to go very light for the rest of the day if  I have trouble eating something or if my pouch is not happy.

This is a journey and not a speed race.  It will get better !!!
Hugs and remember we have all had our little hic ups.

You may be only one person in the world, but to someone you are the world
