Good morning all,

Happy Monday!  I know that is a contradiction

I was wondering if anyone was going to the support group meeting tonight in Portsmouth.  It would be nice to see more than 3 lapbanders stay for the second half of the meeting!  You would be surprised as to what you learn at the meetings.

Hope to see you there!

Hi Debbie,

Do not give up!  You have come a very long way.  This is just your body adjusting to what you have done in the last 4 months.  Think about where you are in comparison to where you were.

However, here are some ideas!  I cut out starches completely.  I do not eat bread, potatoes, high sugar fruits and veggies.  Also change up your exercise.  Believe it or not, you body adjusts to what you are doing, and sometimes you just need to change.  Do a different type of cardio, change up your weight training.  Any little thing can make a difference.

I also was very surprised at how much my portions had crept up to a unhealthy size! It might be worth weighing and measuring again for a bit.

Finally, just relax.  Don't try too hard.  You need food to fuel your body.  If your body is not getting enough, it will shut down.  Make sure you are eating enough and the right foods.

Hang in there, it will turn back around!
Martha

Debbie,
you are in a stall and it happens to all of us.  You will lose again your body is just adjusting again.  You may need to change up what you are eating and how many calories you are consuming.
You may not be getting enough calories, I know it is strange to say that, but if you have questions about it you can always call or e-mail Jackie. (our NUT).   I stall all the time and I am still losing soooooo slowly.  I had a huge stall (in my mind) at about 6-7 months out but I did start again and the last 12 pounds is going to haunt me.   It is hard to realize how long it took us to gain the weight and then how quickly it starts coming off.  Just relax a little and know you will lose again if you follow your plan and use your tool.  hugs

I am not sure if you can use our classes in Portsmouth or not.  You can try calling Dr. Jeff Wagner 427-1428.  He offers a 6 week program it was on Wednesday nights.  Hope this helps.

Well, here it is my Son's senior pictures.  I love his smile and to know no matter what I think he is growing up.  This makes me feel good today and everyday.  I promise to get an adapter for my camera this weekend so I can post some pics of the 2 of us.  I promised this child I would climb "Table Rock" with him if I lost 100lbs.  So this past weekend we went up.  It is not a long trail less than 1/2 mile but it is very steep about a 70% incline and they call it a goat trail.  He was patient with Mom but we made it to the top.  We couldn't see anything because we were literally in the clouds but it was worth it.
