That was an awesome video... I am seven months out and it has been like a rebirth for me too. My partner and I have been so much happier and active. I am hiking, biking and walking... still have some more to go but it has made a huge difference....Thanks for the inspiring images!

Congrats! I will send you positive thoughts for that day! Just remember to try to stay calm and breathe! Also be kind to yourself and take things slow.

Hi, I have some Bariatric Advantange and Matrix protein mix that I can not use. Willing to sell for cheap. Also I have clothing sizes 24-30 that I would like to give away if anyone needs them. I live in Hudson. Message me if you are interested. Tina

I'm on a 1600 calorie diet. I started mine Sept 1st and right now have lost 36 lbs. Every morning I have a protein shake Muscle milk) with a small banana mixed in..and using soy milk. I haven't had any dairy products in 2 months. No sweets at all. I also eat fish...chicken or tuna for lunch. No bread. I have sugar free jello pudding for a snack...maybe a low calorie cheese stick (50 cals)
What I think really kept me on track was using "my fitness" on my smart phone. It holds you accountable and you know how many calories you had for the day. Worked for me.
I will say I'm stuck at my current weight now for 2 weeks and it's frustrating. I know...9 days....wow!!!

Thats fantastic!! I am so happy for you!!
The only thing I am struggling with is the diet. I had done a similar diet for months from February to June but for some reason now I am struggling a bit. I have been able to keep it at 1200 calories but its hard. I don't know if its the nerves getting the best of me. But I think this week is going to be a bit easier. I got some of my sugar free things for after the surgery like, jello, popsicles, and crystal light. Just having those extra little snack that aren't many calories I think are going to make a difference for me.
Good Luck!! Can't wait only 9 days now and we will be starting our new life!!!

Hi Nancy,
I just found out this morning I too am going in on Dec. 19th for my gastric bypass!!! I never thought I'd hear the news today...I was thinking it would be after Christmas. I'm nervous also..I never had any surgery or overnight stays in a hospital. Other than stitches...and broken ankle all from ice hockey. I hope next winter I can sign back up for mens hockey!! Good Luck to us!!

....Hi!
needing to refocus and rededicate my self and this site worked wounders for me as I lost my first 140+/- lbs. Im over 5 years out (I think lol) and basicly got comfy and a lill lazy, so here I am :)
Nashua, 36, engaged, love to ride my mountain bike all over the city and the parks and take my foster and bio teens out on our kayaks here (surprisingly a BUNCH of places to yak in the city ) work out at planet fitness and work from home. I would love to meet up with people and do activities...altho its getting pretty cold out now. I play WoW and do craftey stuff.
My goal is to reach my dream (seems like a pipe dream lol) weight of 140bs ...I flutter around 220 and have for about a year.
I look foreward to getting to know you all better!
