Great Job Nancy, keep up the great work!  It is a tool and as long as you learn good habits now you will do great.   Adding in more foods is such a relief, just take it slow and add 1 new thing at a time.  If it doesn't go well now, it may later on.  Just remember to sip sip sip and walk walk walk.

Happy Dance Time

I know its only been 2 weeks but its amazing how much better I feel in just 2 little weeks.

I have more energy and want to do more I know I can't yet but I am just so happy.

I'm on phase 3 now and its nice to be able to add a little more real food to my otherwise plain diet. Even if I am not getting all the protein in I am getting a good amount and its working. Still getting the bored hurgy that I use to have but I am trying to push past it until I get to the point where I have more options for snacks. Getting a little sick of the same old food but its worth it

today was my 2 week follow up and I am down since surgery 20lbs making it a total of 57 lbs that I have lost since February. I am so happy. I can't wait. Everyone keeps telling me how good I look, I never expected that.

Good luck to all of you and keep up all the hard work!!

well the first 45 minutes is for under a year and the last 45 mins over a year. There is no structure other then that. I was nice to just get out and talk to others who have been through this as well. But you can get a lot of the same help from here. I am just closer and it gives me time to meet people who have had WLS and to get out and know I am not the only one who is doing this since I don't have anyone close to me who has had it done.

Good morning. The post-op support meeting are held on the last Wednesday of the month. There are two sessions. The first is for those under one-year 5:30 to 6:15 and the second for those over one-year 6:30 to 7:15. They are held at the OTC office. I try to go but I'm usually at work but I try to come during my dinner when I can manage it.

I haven't attended any of the support groups, as I live over an hour away and I just don't think they will be that beneficial to me.  Can I ask how you like the support group and how it was structured?  I fear that it will be a lot of preops asking questions they could easily find the answers to, and to be truthful, I don't want to waste 3 hours of my time if that is what the group is like.

 Thank you for the suggestions.

I just found out about Nashua Nutrition at a support group on the 28th. I plan on stopping by there next week.

I have gotten a little better but its more the smell that makes it so hard for me to the the protein powders in.

Thanks again
