Unfortunately you have to wear the johny they provide because of your IV, your slippers if you have a favorite pair as long as they are easy to walk in.  Your music the room should be a single so no room mate worries.  I will be there when I get out Friday just to check then I will be back Saturday so if you need anything I can bring it by.

Can't wait to join you, I am so excited for you as well.  This is  going to be so great !!!!!

Hi Lisa,

You must be so excited!  It is definately nicer on this side of the bench.  You should definately bring chapstick, a mp3 player or iPod.  A good book or magazines.  Maybe ear plugs to drown out the sounds of the hospital.

Hi,
I am havng RNY on Friday, April 16th.  I cannot wait to be on the loser's side, but I am freaking out a little bit.  What should I bring to the hospital, nightgown, slippers, toothbush etc?  Any suggestions or little tips you have learned to make post op a little easier?

Thanks for your help.
Lisa

Ah Kathy, that was an excellent week considering everything.  Most people would say that they would not even take the time to exercise, and you did 210 minutes.  Give yourself a big WOHOO, and a pat on the back.

Thanks Lisa...I know, if you add all of our goals together you probably would meet them within a couple of weeks.  I do hope you are having fun though!

Yeah Martha!! Great week.
Lisa you are the jazzercise queen in my book. Would you ever have imagined. You are awesome.
Kathy - my daughter is getting married in October - I bet you'll be glad when it's over. 210 plus all the stress = 1210!!
I got in 400 minutes for the first week. I have my first race of the season on Saturday :) I also signed up for the Seacost Road Race Series. I want a jacket!! That's my goal this year.

I felt the same way, I started this journey with my hubby with the intent to have my surgery about 4 months after him, but life can get in the way.  If you stress out over this it will only get worse.  Take a deep breath and realize this is for you.  You are the only one who can do this and you will get there when it is right for you.  That being said it is always easier said than done.  We have all been there and I know I thought I would never get to my goal weight.  I had 14 lbs to lose, and I actually gained 4 before I lost so it was a total of 18 for me.  But when I decided it was right for me I stopped sabotaging my self and actually lost what I needed plus a little more.  I am actually continuing to lose a little each week so I won't have an issue when it is time for the surgery.

You can do this!!!!! Just take the next minute to tell your self that, then go for 10 minutes and from there if you need another 10 take it as you can.  May God grant you the serenity to change the things you can and the Wisdom to know when you have to change.

((((HUGS)))))
