Hi Dave! Doing pretty good, like i said, I do get tired. I have to have more blood work done for my PCP so maybe he will address the iron issue when I see him again in June. I just got back from 3 days in PA with my hubby. I don't think I ate enough, and what I did eat was not the best. However, I did alot of walking, lots of fluids, all my vits, and did lose 2 pounds! so, back to the regular routine now that I'm home. How are you doing? are you going to the meeting tomorrow night? Cindy
Topic: Just a Reminder for Monday's Meeting
OK So the reminder is more for me lol, because if I don't keep reminding myself about this meeting I might forget and drive home after work.
My hubby Sam will be speaking at the meeting that night. I can't wait and I have my apt with Dr. Gens on the 14th of May which is just a few weeks away!
Ok so just a little ribbon on your finger to remind you of Monday's meeting.
Hope to see you all !!!!

The band is the issue and they only way to correct my tummy issues it to have it removed, it is causing acid to sit my throat and the food that can go in the pouch does not always pass so I throw up, or I am in so much pain it feels like someone i*****hing me. My hubby and I talked about it last night and he is very supportive, the first thing i need to concentrate on getting better so I can eat solid food, once I feel better I am going set a goal for myself and take it slow, thats all I can do is hope and pry and keep up the work. I went shopping last weekend and bought a pair of shorts that are a size 8 and if I have to I will try them on every week to make sure they still fit to keep at my goal. I have not been a size 8 in many many years and I guess I am just nervous that I will gain it all back. Dr G and I talked about it at my appointment and he was very supportive so that helped. I guess time will tell, thank you everyone for the advice and Martha I dont think you were being heartless at all, trust me I need to hear it and keep motivated, thanks again everyone for the support, I will post after surgery and let everyone know how it goes.....thanks again,

I am so sorry that you have to go through this. But listen to what Martha said. You are definitely not a failure. To be sure, the road will get a little tougher to navigate without your band, but you can do it. You have learned so much since you started this journey. You have to keep up your healthy lifestyle. If you gain a little back, don't panic. First, you are still a success. Don't ever forget that. Second, just keep a very close eye on your progress, and if things start heading in the wrong direction, make some adjustments right away. Just don't wait until things get out of hand. Pick a number in advance - say 2 or 5 pounds, and if you gain that much, pull extra tight on the reins until you find where you need to be to either continue losing or to maintain your weight. You can do this. If you need help along the way, remember that we are ALWAYS here for you. Don't think that you can leave the board because you no longer have your band. Depend on us. Use us. Don't give up. We're not giving up on you!

I have blue cross blue shield, and I got my answer in three days after they submitted the paperwork. It might take a little longer, but you will be on the other side very soon!

Do NOT let your family's words become a self-fulfilling prophecy. I know it is hard, I cannot imagine what you are going through. You have learned so many new and better behaviors. You need to dig deep and use them to your best ability. Do not use this as an excuse to gain the weight back. I know I sound like a heartless ***** right now, and I know that this is the worse thing that could happen, but I know you can do this. To lose 90 pounds is simply amazing. You are an amazing woman. Do not sell yourself short. YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!!! How can you be a failure and lose 90 pounds. Just keep saying to yourself that you can do this!!!!!
