Martha,
no worries you take care of family that is the most important thing. Please let us know if you need anything. I am sure you will catch up with us some point. It is hard to keep Sam still most weekends now lol. We have been walking on the beach almost every weekend that it has not rained.

I had a great week - 435 minutes, not including the gardening I did for almost 8 hours on Saturday! And I was great in the eating department too. So proud of myself. Ah, but I got on the scale on Saturday morning, and I was UP TWO POUNDS! I can't possibly describe how frustrated I am right now. I've been so good for the most part for the past few months, and I've managed to gain another 5 pounds - so now I have 15 pounds that I want to take off. It's like my body is just going to do what it wants, and I have no say whatsoever. I know it's calories in vs. calories out, but I've been recording everything (except vacation), and I've been staying at or under my allotted calories. I guess all I can do is keep on keeping on, but I am very discouraged right now. Thanks for letting me vent!

Topic: My Fabulous Weekend
Well, I had an amazing weekend. We went to Boston for the weekend, leaving Friday afternoon, my husband, me and my best friend and her husband. At dinner Friday night, Kristen and Gary presented me and Jeff with a package, which had Red Sox t-shirts in them. They told us then, that we were going to a sox game on Sunday. We had 3rd base line tickets, first row, first section behind the box seats. They lost the game, but it was good. It went 10 innings.
We spent Saturday walking around the North End of Boston. We had pizza in a little restaurant. Best pizza I have ever tasted. Saturday night we went to the Capital Grille restaurant in Chestnut Hill. What an amazing place. The food was unbelievable. I had filet mignon, with asparagus and king crab meat with a white wine sauce. I am also having it for lunch today! I ordered a fabulous wine, and then for dessert I had Creme Brulee and a glass of ice wine. At dinner, Kristen and Gary surprised us again with Blue Man Group tickets at the Charles Playhouse. All I can say is that I never was so amazed, smiled and laughed so much at a event like that. It rocked!!!! Sunday we got up late, sort of lazy. I had gone to the gym to workout Saturday, and Kristen and I went Sunday morning. We went to breakfast, and then on to Fenway Park. It would have been a perfect day if the sox had won, but they lost in the 10th inning. It was still a great game. We got home Sunday at about 7:00, played with the dogs, and then proceeded to almost fall asleep watching television. Needless to say, I am dragging a bit this morning, but it was so worth it.
Oh yes, and I got on the scale this morning, and I lost 1.4 pounds!!!

Hi Laurie,
Of all meetings I have to miss, it has to be this one. My son-in-law's sister died on Friday, and the wake is tonight. Tell Sam I said good luck, and have fun telling his story. Good luck to you with your appointment. Let us know when your surgery date is going to be.
Martha.

Is there a way you can see how you do for a while and if you are feeling better but start noticing the weight coming back will your doctor opt to do a bypass? Would you consider doing a bypass? I know in the seminar's I'm going through that ? has been asked what happens if it needs to be removed? I remember Dr. Gould saying you can later do a Roux N Y , hang in there try to eat as if it is in there once it's removed!
