Sorry everyone. My new job is very demanding. I know I will get back into the flow of things again though. My exercise time took a huge hit with trying to finish up work at my old job, clean out my office and such. I had 75 minutes total for the week. How about everyone else?

Topic: RE: Thinking of you, Martha
Hi Kathy and Rosemary,
Things are going okay. Had a few oh crap, what did I do moments, but for the most part it is going good. Just a completely new system to learn, plus a completely different way of doing things. I have to admit that it is a bit overwhelming, and I am less confident than I really want to be. I know though, it will come in time, and they don't expect me to be perfect on the first day!!!!
Hope all of you are doing well! I will try and get on more, but I have limited time now.

Topic: RE: post op pain spincter of oddi dysfunction
Hi Kelley,
I have been going throught this for the last 4 yrs. I too had my GB out and then these pains. I have had EVERY test possible, 2 and 3 times...have been hospitalized 2x and still they do not know what it is. You are right the pain is worse than the GB. I was checked for oddi but it was not what was going on. My surgeon believes that my colon just goes into spasm and unless they can get a picture to locate that exact area, while I am having an attack, we both agree that we don't want to operate.
I hope for you, that you get an answer and they can fix it. Some days I wonder how I am going to get through this but then it lets up and I can function normally. It is not fun but I know that even if I knew this could happen I would have done my GPB surgery because life is better for the most part.
Good luck and please let me know how you make out...Laurie

Topic: RE: NASHUA SUPPORT GROUP
Hey there,
It is for anyone that needs support. Dr Brown is the best. he attends almost all of our group meetings, answers everyone's questions and give us some great info. He lets us run the show so to speak because He says it's your group, I'm here to help.
There is no fee, we meet every 4th Tuesday of the month at the Nashua Senior Center that is at the very end of Temple St which is right off Main St.
If you want to join us, please do and if any of your friends find they need support too, bring them along. We really want to get as many people as possible so that Dr. Brown can continue to have these meetings.
Hope you can join us. Laurie

Topic: RE: Blue Cross Experience
I think Blue Cross is one of the best insurance to have for this surgery.
I got approval in less than 48 hours which allowed me to get surgery before the new year and saved me LOTS of money!
Of all the things to think about with surgery dont worry about the insurance... it all gets worked out!

Yup... its Esther
Thanks for all the help and the shampoo recomendation. I dont think its quite that bad yet but its good to know the option is there.
Actually got my hair cut yesterday and just cut it all off so at least I have shorter hairs to pick off everything ;) That and it was nice bc I have lost enough that she didnt have to thin it out.. saved me a few bucks too :)
