Feels good, doesn't it.  My dad is still amazed that I am actually working on our apartments, not hiring staff to come in to do it.  Congrats, you must feel very proud - keep up the good work!

I am going to set my goal at 3000 again this month.  Between baseball, training for another 5k and getting the kids out with the dog, I'm hoping to pass it.
Good luck everyone!

I ran my butt off during this week!  between walking 2x per day with the dog & kids, I ran and lifted and ran some more working on our apartments.  Total for the week 920min.

Today, for Mother's Day, I ran/walked my first 5k!  I was so proud of myself that I cried after I crossed the finish line.  What a difference a year makes.  I hope that each of you have a fantastic Mother's Day either honoring your mother or being honored.  I ran my race in memory of my mother today.

Topic: RE: "body contouring"
The whole skin 'snapping back' all depends on age and genetics really. The older you get the less likely your skin will go back to fitting the frame you gain with the help of surgery.

Even is you lose your weight slowing if you are older (and sadly, I'm finding my 30 years falling into 'older' in terms of skin recovery) or if you had 'bad' genes, the elasticity of your skin wont go back to 'normal'

Personally, this is the 2nd time I have lost a huge amount of weight. First time (when I was like 21) there was no extra skin to speak of. This time even after just 4 months I'm finding jiggly bits places I shouldn't.

I haven't looked into surgery but from what I understand unless there is a medical issue (sores, ect) most insurance companies wont cover surgery as it is seen as cosmetic.

hope my rambling helps!

I am new to this process, however, I was wondering for those of you who have reached your goals, have any of you had the body contouring surgery where they remove the excess skin from the rapid weight loss?  Has your insurance helped with this at all?  And are there any recommendations that you have found will work to minimize the excess and help your skin to "snap back" some?  Thanks!
