I had quite a but of surgery done: lower body lift, arms, breasts and inner thighs. The only part that was covered by insurance was the abdominal portion of my lower body lift because I had a rash. Otherwise, it was all self-pay, but it was definitely worth it. Although, I would think twice about having my inner thighs done again. I am happy with the results, but they aren't as good as the results everywhere else, and it was extremely painful. As for the rest, I am so happy that I did it. As far as helping your skin to "snap back," I don't believe that's possible. You are either going to have saggy skin or you're not - depends on age and genetics. I guess I had both working against me!

Hi Rosemary,
I'm well. We're having quite a nice spring, and I've been taking advantage of that -- getting out in the garden, walking to work, etc. I hope it's a sign that we'll have a nicer summer than we did last year.
So I have the exercising down, but I am so struggling with the eating! I remember when I was a newer post-op, and all the "old timers" said how hard it was for them to maintain their weight. Well, now I'm there, and they couldn't have been more right. This is really tough, and I feel like I'm losing the battle! (But I won't lose the war!)
Are you still running your 5k/10k's?

Hi Martha,
I got in 285 minutes for the last week in April. I hope you're liking your new job in spite of it being demanding. Before you know it, you'll be settled back into a normal routine.
Have a great day!
Kathy

Hot Dang you were on a roll on Sunday!!
It is amazing the difference. I remember at my biggest getting pooped doing just about anything but not really thinking anything of it but now the things I (and we all) can do without a thought it amazing! I love it!.... just with my husband would stop taking advantage of my new energy and still do some of the yard work ;)

Thanks for the insight! Being 31, myself, I am not counting on the skin to snap back. Oh well, it will all be worth it regardless...
