Topic: I RAN!!
So I finally ran on Tuesday.. and I'm still SO excited about it!
Unfortunately whenever I tell someone they look at me strange.Im sure it just sounds lame to them but  they just don't understand.

I was so proud of myself... .ran at 4.8mph for 2 minute intervals.... so that's just short of half a mile. Today I'm still paying for it... seems there are muscles used in running that I don't use when I walk.. but I loved it anyways!

Thanks to everyone at the meeting on Monday for encouraging me to just go for it!!!

From the time you get approval to the time of surger is amazingly quick... if its more than 2 weeks from now I would be very surprised. I rememeber when I got my date I was shocked it was so soon.
Im assuming you have already met with Dr. Gens once. have you scheduled a second appointment with him yet? It was at that appointment I got my surgery date and it was about a week out.... including the Christmas holiday!
Good luck.. hope you hear soon!!

Topic: Yard and Clothing Sale (sizes XL/16-20W)

Since the sucess of my lapband procedure, I've lost 67 lbs so far since last July. That means I have a wardrobe of professional and casual clothing to get rid of (over 150 pieces of clothing). Another OH member is having a community yard sale this weekend (5/15) @ Harry Brook Dr. Goffstown. I will be trying to sell as much of the clothing as possible to help me get new clothing. I'm in a size 12 now and my goal is a size 10.
Suits- $15, Dressses $7, Slacks $5, Capris $4, Skirts $4, Sweaters$4, Blouces $4, Short Sleave Tops $3.
Hope to see you there, the yard sale id from 8 - 3, rain or shine.

Blessings

Pokes you were right - Dr Wagner does make it interesting & entertaining instead of dry & preachy(I've seen that kind of thing before).  I am really looking forward to the next 4 sessions!

Thank you for your response! When I spoke with the office person she said she would give my file to Dr. Gen's assistant now that I had approval. I promised Dr. Gens I wouldn't bug his staff so I would hate to call again. But I am glad I called last week (after hearing nothing for two weeks) because that is when they apologized for misplacing my file.

I guess I will give it until Friday and then call again??

I am happy that you will be getting your date soon! I am a nervous wreck. I swear I wasn't this nervous for my own wedding!!

If you or Sam know of any ticks on moving this along let me know.

Have a great night!

Kelly,
when is your next apt with Dr. Gens?  Surgery is normally the week after that apt.  So if your apt is this Friday then the following week could be your surgery.  I know Sam had his apt on Thursday  and had his surgery on Tuesday.  I am hoping to get my date soon as well good luck and let me know.

You may be only one person in the world, but to someone you are the world

Topic: I have approval
Hello,

Ok all you WLS veterans. I am looking for some info. I have just received insurance approval!!!
Does anyone  know how long before you get a date for surgery? I am having Dr. Gens perform my surgery.

The approval took way to long because the doctor's office never put in for approval. When I called last week the doctor's office apologized a lot and then put the paperwork in that day. The approval from BC/BS only took 3 days.

So with that taking so long I am anxious to get to a date. Any insight would be very helpful.

Thanks!
