Good luck with the classes. I did find them very informative and, you're right, Dr. Wagner makes it very interesting - and funny!

I didn't have any problems with BCBS either. Each policy is different. I had lapband, which is considered an outpatient procedure (even if you spend the night.) So they only paid 80% of the medical equipment that was used, so I ended up paying around $3000 on top of my regular copay. If I had chosen bypass, they would have paid 100%, but that's just the way my policy is written.
We've been very very pleased with BCBS- as long as the doctor says something is medically necessary, they usually approve it.
Good luck! :)

Thanks Dave!
I know what you mean.... I actually read one of your posts to another member and it was very informative and I was shocked at some of the things I had no idea about.
I truly enjoyed hearing all of the details you shared and I am going to re-read it again. Let me know if you left anything out that you now remember.
Truly, these postings are really awesome and it is great being able to ask anything and not be embarrassed.
Loser's bench here I come!
