Topic: RE: July Exercise Challenge Week 3 (or4)
I did pretty well this week, I had 900 min.  I am pushing myself as I have registered to do a really challenging run om Aug 22nd.  It's Run for the Fallen (www.runforthefallenmaine.org).  I come from a long military family history and it's my way of honoring our soldiers.  I plan to try to run/walk as much as I possibly can - it's from Ogonquit to Portland, ME.  We'll see how it goes.  Wish me luck!!

good morning planners...

i did well sticking to my plan till dinner last night i called my wife when i left my 2nd job and she said she had just ordered Chinese so i figured what the heck.. well i had 2 chicken fingers 2 crab Rangoon's and some beef with bean sprouts... and felt like crap after! so i can mark that off the list of things that i can/want to eat ... as we always say "live and learn"

so for today..

iced coffee with sugar free coffee-mate
breakfast- eas carb advantage shake
lunch-pouch of tuna with light mayo and 6 wheat thins
snack- pure protein bar
dinner- a real nice steak cooked on the grill with summer squash (yummy)

i did not make it to the gym this morning (too damn tired) but i will walk at lunch , i have nothing planned this weekend so i hope to get in some gym time this weekend either way i am sure i will be very active around the house

hope every one has a great weekend !

the bill thing is hard with us eating the way we do... i got a $8 burger the other day that cost me $22 ... it is the worst when everyone else has 2-3 beers or mixed drinks  with dinner and i have a water(that i don't drink)... but what to do... we dont wanna seem like the penny pincher or something like that...

bamma i think planning is the best.. even with me eating the same thing (pretty much) it helps keep me honest with myself!

yesterday went well.. dinner was not to plan but i ate OK i think ... some really nice friends of mine had pizza for dinner so they saved me 2 slices which i ate about one of (parts of both) but i think that was OK...

today
no gym this morning (toooooo tired) i will walk my 2 mile loop at lunch

iced coffee with sugar free coffee-mate
breakfast- eas carb advantage shake
lunch- pouch of tuna with light mayo and 6 wheat thins
snack 1- brown Cow Greek yogurt
snack 2- pure protein bar
dinner.... i am really craving a steak but i wont be home till late sooo it will pro ably end up being the Wendy's chili that i didn't eat yesterday.. unless bamma wants to cook steaks for the guys? I'll bring um if you wanna cook em?

Plan worked well yesterday. Ended up finding chili on the menu at lunch so i had that :) Of course it turns out the group just split the bill even 15 ways so it was the costliest bowl of chili I have ever had, but was still the right choice!

Time for another day

Breakfast: 1egg and 1/4cup egg beaters with 1/4c low fat cheese and 2 wasa crackers

Lunch: rest of my chili from yesterday

Snack: I still have those darn grapes. Lets see if they get eaten today!

Dinner: Not sure. Its open house at kidos camp so we will be there tonight. Apparently there are hot dogs and snack but I think I may have the boys eat there and then Ill have some shrimp or something when I get home.

So far this has been a huge help for me.  It takes all of the guess work, and the Hum....what do I want to eat!  If it is not on my plan, generally I do not eat it!

Breakfast:  Vanilla Shake with smart balance milk and blueberries

Lunch:  left over chicken parmesan

Dinner:  Not quite sure, but I think it is going to involve fish or chicken.

Snacks:  I really need to eat that cottage cheese today, I still have my apple and nectarine.  I was not hungry, and really did not have time to eat either one.

Stuck to the plan pretty well yesterday. Didn't end up having my grapes but thats OK. Even went to the gym!! FINALLY. I cant belive how much better I feel after doing so.

So, the plan for today

Breakfast: Cottage Cheese with grapes & walnuts
Lunch: Not sure. My department at work is going out for lunch. I have been scoping out the menu and yet still have NO idea what Ill end up eating. Ill let you know ;)
Snack: Grapes left over from yesterday if needed
Dinner: Pork Chop and a veggie of some sort.

I plan on either hitting up the gym after work or having a family day at the pool. Depends on how the kido does today; its been a rough week!!!

And Dave, glad to hear you survived Boot Camp!!!
