Well, my weekend was AWESOME!!!! Friday night on our way down to Boston, I had a chicken teryaki salad from Subway. Saturday morning, I had a half of an egg sandwich and a few bites of hash browns. Lunch was a very, very expensive salad at the Museum of Science! We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Chestnut Hill. I got the barbecued salmon with mash potatoes and onion strings. Well, I ate half of the salmon, about a 1/4 cup potato and two fried onions. I also had some of Cam's broccoli. Kristen and I shared a piece of cheesecake, and did not even fini**** Sunday we went to the USS Constitution Museum, did not get to go on the ship though. Had to get over to Long Wharf for everyone else to go on Codzilla! I passed, wasn't sure how I would do. Besides, I had an hour of blissful peace and quiet, and yogurt with granola and a little bit of fruit! We walked to the north end and had lunch. I had Caprese (mozzarella cheese with tomatoes, roasted red peppers and olive oil. We then went to Mike's Pastry. I got two canolis and a brownie for Gary. Got home at 6:30, and collapsed!! I was so proud that I ate so very good, and walked a ton. And I have not touched one of the canolis!!!!!
So my plan for today is
Yogurt with granola
Lunch: Tuna on a sandwich round and sweet potato chips
Dinner: Not sure, I am also going shopping tonight, although shrimp in margarine, garlic with Parmesan cheese sounds really yummy.
I have cheese sticks and a nectarine for snack, so I am good there. I am also drinking a lot today, as I did not drink that much this weekend.
So my plan for today is

Weekend went pretty good. Spent Saturday in Boston walking around so got plenty of activity in there.... maybe even enough to partially burn that cannoli from Mike's Pastry I had for dinner (I know.. I'm BAD).
So, here is today's plan
Breakfast: 1cup cottage cheese with 10 almonds and 10 grapes
Lunch: Chili with low fat cheese
Dinner: Not sure. I think Ill call hubs and tell him to take the steak out of the freezer.
Hope the rain holds off today. Going to watch hub softball game after work, then hope to mow the lawn to get in my activity for the day.

Well the weekend, went OK, lol I should have walked more, but just did some things around the house.
Protein coffee, splenda and milk
Greek Yogurt with mixed berries
chicken salad w/ fat free miracle whip
not sure stopping on the way home for groceries. I am thinking fish or shrimp with melon
jello or pudding for a treat tonight if I can fit it in.

Topic: mondays plan...
well its monday... i did good eating this weekend.. no trips to the gym but i was very active.. saturday did some 4-wheeler riding and went to the driving range and played mini gild wife the faimly sunday went fishing with my son and than played 9 holes of golf (walked and carried my clubs) did i mention that i havent played golf in seven years and i never walked when i used to play...
well here is the plan for today
no gym this morning but i will walk at lunch and i am going to mow my lawn after work.

Pokes.. you are making better choices than you would have 8 mos ago! then you would have proably had 2 hot dogs and some iced cream for desert ( you did'nt did you?) and you will do ok with the pizza i'm sure just go lite on the cheese and more burger..
are you going to try to plan on the weekends?

Thanks Dave, great advice. Sometimes, I fall into my old habits of running around all day with work and forgetting to eat - big mistake! I'll try to set a reminder on my phone to eat throughout the day.

i am 6mos out and i find that if i dont eat every 3 hrs i start getting very hungry than i eat too much and feel like crap.... so i try to eat at the same times every day and i feel better

Well yesterday was a bust. Did well till I got over to camp with the kido. Seems my husband knows what I can and cannot eat and doesnt seem to take my insistance for anything so I ended up with hot dog dinner with everyone else. yucky
Today is going to try me again, but here is the plan
Breakfast: 1egg and 1/4cup egg beaters with 1/4c low fat cheese and 2 wasa crackers
Lunch: Its the Engineering department outting today so Ill be at a cookout at lunch. Not sure what everyone is bringing; hopfully there will be some good choices for me
Snack: nothing. Threw the grapes away this AM, they were looking a little beat
Dinner: Home made Pizza. My mom and kid make dinner on fridays, thier choice. I do get to pick what I want on it so I cooked up some ground beed this AM (for protien) and already requested my low fat cheese so I hope its not too bad!
With special dinner tonight wont make it to the gym (again) but I hope to be active at the outting with vollyball and such. I hope the boys let the one girl play!

Topic: Hungry?
So here's the thing, I am 8 mos out from surgery and feeling great. The only thing is that I find myself getting really hungry during the day. I'm getting usually 60g of protein a day, but find myself getting "shaky" hungry sometimes during the day. Any advice from those with more experience?
