dr.looser,when will i meet him?

i hate to be impatient,but for any of you who went through the program at portsmouth hosp.,when do you meet your surgeon?i have already done my first meeting with nancy(program coordinator)already did my pysch.eval,my first of at least two required meetings with the nutritionist,my first monthly meeting,i have an appt with p.therapy for next week,and tonight i am attending my first of 5 classes with dr.wagner.they have all said they think i will do well with gastric bypass.they are all exceptionally nice(btw i think dr.wagner is so sexy,lol)what other things besides what i have mentioned are left to do?about when do i meet dr.looser?when do you have all your pre-ops?thanks ahead of time! jennifer.

thanks jennie!when i went to class tonight there was a woman there who started this process when i did(to the day)and she already has her date for next month.while i was happy for her,i had to wonder why some get through this process so quickly.i think for me it might be my insurance issue,im on medicare right now,im getting married the 23rd of april so i will have his insurance come may,thankgod there is no waiting period.

Hello Jennifer, Keep on being patient. You must complete all five classes with Dr.Wagner before you can meet with Dr.Looser. You will probably see Nancy again also. After the five classes. and Nancy's approval you can make your appointment with Dr.Looser for an initial consult. After that you must meet your pre op required weght loss goal to be considered. Assuming all is well it will be about 4 to 6 weeks later for your surgery date. Good luck with your surgery and upcoming nuptials. I am going to be "banded" on the 24th of april by Dr.Looser.
