Weekend Plans?
Hello All,
Anything exciting going on this weekend for any of you?
We are leaving tonight to go back home (Connecticut) for an extended weekend. My husband has a trainer on Friday and Monday at the Subbase. So I get to see my Parents, and our friends this weekend. Saturday night we are going to Foxwoods my husband is going to play in a poker tournament. And then Sunday we are going to do some letterboxing with our friends, I am so excited it will be nice to get out of the house and see everyone.
Well have a wonderful weekend all, and see you next week.
Jennie
Hi Jennie. My weekend plans include cleaning the house, a little shopping and trying to get ready to return to work on Monday. It seems as if managing my new tummy is a full time job so it will be a challenge to do that AND work.
I have to ask...what is letterboxing?
Have a wonderful time in CT!

Well I just learned about letterboxing from my new neighbor here in New Hampshire. Basically you get clues off the internet. People hide a box, that has there stamp, ink, and a notebook. You bring with you your own stamp (something personal to you), your inkpad, and your book (I use a sketchbook). You stamp there stamp in your book and you put your stamp in their book and then rehide. Most of them are located in parks, and off trails. Which is why we really are getting addicted to it. It gets us out on the weekends to do some hiking. My husband and I have done several in the Portsmouth area, helps us to learn the area and brings us to places we would of never been before.
My friend and are are addicted to scrapbooking so we have kind of turned our letterboxing experience into the same thing. Here is a sample of one of the first ones we did when they came to visit:
(Sorry photobucket down for maintenance will post it later)
But here is the website for information: www.letterboxing.org
My friends son, and my niece love it, and surprisingly enough our husbands have really gotten into it with us. Since we both had surgery to us it is a way to get out and go hiking, with a hobby combined.

Our weekend contains a lot of work! We have decided to move to North Carolina, and met with the realtor yesterday. She thinks our home will move fast , so we have some touching up and cleaning to do. I'm really looking forward to a new start in NC, and my 2 sister live there.
So the rest of our NH group, what are you up to?
Valerie
Hi, everybody,
Nothing special planned (we get paid every other week so you can guess what week this is), but at least my husband won't be at class all day. Hopefully the weather will be good and we can play with our puppy, Maya, but I do have a heck of a lot of cleaning and laundry to do.
It's a glamorous life but someone has to do it, right?
((((Hugs))))

Stephanie, don't work too hard in the house and have fun shopping one of my favorite past times.
Valerie, So you are leaving us huh? Well good for you sounds like this is a good move for you and you will be closer to family, don't work too hard in the house this weekend.
Anne, I hear ya if I don't do it around here it doesn't get done, and I only have one big child to clean up after (my hubby). But definately take some time and get outside to play with Maya it sounds like it is going to be a nice weekend.
Ok let me see if I can do this correctly. This is a photo of my letterboxing book that I have been working on. This stamp we got was at the south cemetary in Portsmouth. It is dedicated to two girls who where murdered in the late 1800's the Smuttynose murders. So I have the stamp in the upper left corner, found the original news article and a couple of pictures.
