Hello all, I am in the process of starting my WLS journey. I am looking to go with Dr. Brown and he is affiliated with St Joes in Nashua. Does anyone have any feedback on Dr. Brown and SJH for me? Thanks, Joshua

Joshua, I had my surgery last Monday at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA and my surgeon was Dr. Michael Jiser. That is a wonderful group. I live in Nashua and originally started out with Dr. David Drinkwater at Southern NH Medical Center and he resigned and I had to transfer to another program. I don't think you would be disappointed with this group and they are absolutely wonderful. Why don't you give them a call - 978-934-8220 - it only takes a few minutes to get there from Nashua. Everyone at the Weight Management Clinic are fantastic and Dr. Jiser is an EXCELLENT surgeon. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Barbara

Hello I think if I am correct I seen you at the last meeting. I been attending the meetings for a year now its been a long process for me. I put on some weight. But I am now at the end of the journey. I have done all my test and now they are waiting on medical clearance from my PCP they should have in the next few days and as soon as I get approval I get a date. I have got great vibes with Dr Brown. I can tell you yes I am getting nervous now since its almost time but I think thats normal. Attend the meeting they are great. I just listen alot there and gain alot of information. I attend almost every single one and dont intend on stopping. Ask questions at the meetings and ask dr brown as well.

Hello Natacha. I will be attending my first meeting next month. I was wondering you said you have been going for a year now. How long has the process taken you were there any delays?

Hello, I must have thought you were another member who posted here before. The reasonI havebeengoing for a yaer is I couldnt maintainmy starting weight they are strict on that . Just maintain your weight from your first weigh in when You meet with Dr brown. That was what held me up. Because I had to wait another Full month to get weighed in again. But now they just got my medical clearance . So as soon as insurance responds I should have a date. Which surgery are you considering Iam going tohave the LapBand. Well Ihope to see you there next meeting. From what i been through it goes your speed as long as you follow everything and can maintain the weight it wont take as long. Hope to see you there in a couple weeks.
