Will Dr. Drinkwater start a new program at his new hospital?

I'm not sure if people know this, but Dr. Drinkwater is going to Woburn Hospital. I had a physical today with my primary. She works at SNHMC and knows Dr. Drinkwater. I told her I was looking into bypass and how I started going to support groups he is leaving. She said he got a great deal as Chief of Staff at Woburn Hospital. Does anyone know if he will start a weight management program over there?

Hi Karen, We were told that he will not be starting a program there for a while if at all. Several of us were of the mind set to follow him where ever he went and were told that there will be no program to move to. Which is too bad for the people at the new hospital...they are getting THE BEST!! Dr. D will be greatly missed here in Nashua. Good Luck with your journey...Dr. Jiser is also a great surgeon. I'm actually going to be transferring to him once Dr. Drinkwater leaves. All the best, Judy

I too have transferred to Dr. Jiser and am very impressed so far with their program. The office staff are very kind and anxious to help. The group with Dr. Drinkwater was to meet on Thursday to approve me going on to a surgery date when Dr. D resigned the Tuesday before. It was a blow to be so close - and then so far! But the group at St. Memorial have been wonderful. They accepted all my progress from Dr. Drinkwater's program and I had all the medical tests a week ago. I meet with Dr. Jiser on Friday and hopefully will have a surgery date in the very near future. I loved Dr. Drinkwater's program, but I am really getting used to Dr. Jiser's program and feel their staff to be so supportive and kind. I would highly recommend this group. Good luck to all! Barbara
