Hi everyone,
My name is Jay. I started the program a few months back and chickened out. I have gotten my referal from my Dr, filled out all the paper work and then attended the first consultation. Then I chickened out. I am started back about three months after quitting the program last time. I am 27yrs old with a BMI of 41.4 I have a wife and three young kids... I would love to talk to anyone who has done this or is going to do this. I will be going to Dr Brown in nashua nh...

Welcome back, Jay.
I'm almost 6 months post-op and, and like Judy, I would do it all over again. I'm 27 also, and trust me, it's a lot easier to do this now, while you are still young. Us young'uns tend to recover faster and it gave me a whole new outlook on life. I look forward to every day and I haven't regretted my decision once. Good luck, and you know where to find us if you ever need help.

Hi Jay, am new to the website - found it through my surgeon's office and am glad to have found you all. I had the surgery in late April and like you had a BMI in the 40 pt range. Eight months out I am down 105 lbs. with about another 50-60 to go, and so far have lost 12 inches off my waist and 5 inches off my neck. I am so glad I made the decision to do the surgery. I agree its a bit scary but had I known how good I could feel once I starting losing the weight I would have done this a lot sooner. I'm in my mid 50's and now looking forward to having an enjoyable retirement some day soon. I am glad to see you have reconsidered you're decsion to move forward with the surgery. Good luck and keep me posted on how you're doing.
