Hi Jay Good luck on your journey. I'm almost a year post-op and would do this all over again in a second. It's the best thing I've done for myself. If you have any questions, just ask them. I don't get here that often but there's plenty of us here that have been there. All the best, Judy

Welcome back, Jay. I'm almost 6 months post-op and, and like Judy, I would do it all over again. I'm 27 also, and trust me, it's a lot easier to do this now, while you are still young. Us young'uns tend to recover faster and it gave me a whole new outlook on life. I look forward to every day and I haven't regretted my decision once. Good luck, and you know where to find us if you ever need help. ~Daniela

Hi Jay, am new to the website - found it through my surgeon's office and am glad to have found you all. I had the surgery in late April and like you had a BMI in the 40 pt range. Eight months out I am down 105 lbs. with about another 50-60 to go, and so far have lost 12 inches off my waist and 5 inches off my neck. I am so glad I made the decision to do the surgery. I agree its a bit scary but had I known how good I could feel once I starting losing the weight I would have done this a lot sooner. I'm in my mid 50's and now looking forward to having an enjoyable retirement some day soon. I am glad to see you have reconsidered you're decsion to move forward with the surgery. Good luck and keep me posted on how you're doing. Bill
