I HAVE A DATE!!!

Just had to share this good news with y'all. I HAVE A DATE and I got it in a most unusual way. I was supposed to see Dr. Campbell in December but my appointment had to be rescheduled because her office had not yet received my file. So, resigned to another month of waiting (my rescheduled appointment is January 11) I didn't think much about the envelope in my mail on Saturday from Blue Cross Blue Shield....but when I opened it I almost fell over! It was approval of medical necessity and precertification of my surgical procedure scheduled FEBRUARY 7, 2006. I had to read it over and over just to reassure myself that it really did say approved. Thank you....thank you....thank you! Bonnie

awwww Bonnie thats wonderful!!! I was wondering about you since the whole Dr. D. thing and I am glad you have a date so soon.... you really deserve it!!! COngrats again!!!

ANGELA - haven't seen you post in AGES! How the heck are you doing? The last post I saw had you going back into the hospital or something like that. Jeez, I hope you're doing well! How much have you lost - darn, I miss all you Dr. D patients.

Im doing good, thanks for asking. I have lost 55 lbs since my surgery and 85 lbs total since July. I have dropped 10 sizes and am officially out of the plus sizes. I am down to 190 lbs last time I weighed myself. I feel better, but still not 100% yet. Most days are good though. I just have this thing with frothing and some days it drives me NUTS!!! I am so sick of spitting.... I am really happy about your date. I hope all goes well for you and you have a speedy and uneventful recovery!!!

Thank you so much, Angela. Just say a little prayer for me if you think of it......sure couldn't hurt. I'm so glad you're feeling better and CONGRATULATIONS on all the weight you have lost. How wonderful!!!! You'll have to post an updated picture so I can see the NEW you! Have you decided what program/surgeon you're going to transfer to yet? I know Dr. D is leaving soon and was wondering where all his old patients would be going for follow-up care. If you decide to go to CMC maybe I'll see you at a support group meeting.
