I got my surgery date!!!!

Hello everyone! I just got my surgery date....it is going to be Dec 8th.....I can't beleive it. It seems like forever since I started this process a year ago. I am hoping that the fact I have acid reflux do not hurt my chances of surgery....I just found out when I had my upper GI has anyone else had this problem? I guess its pretty common among overweight folks. Ok... Have a good one! Take care, Jane

Hi Jane, Congratulations!! That's so exciting, but the wait will be well worth it. Having GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) shouldn't be an issue since it is actually one of the co-morbidities of obesity. It should be helped by the surgery. Again, congratulations at having gotten a date! Trudi
