Hello everyone! Thanks for all your encouraging words!! it is very helpful. I would have never expected to have this go through...and now that it is.......wow. I am getting all the negative reactions...I am sure that everyone else went through this? I was hoping that I could get this done as soon as possible, but, now I am thinking about a date closer to the end of December, it would work out better for my job and alot of other factors including care of my 2 1/2 year old. It seems like a very popular month to have surgery. I should know more this week, I am scheduled for my upper GI...AGAIN.....ugh......LOL I have allready had one a couple of years ago....but since it has not been in the last year....I have to do one again. how much time off after surgery did everyone take before going back to work? I was told 6-8 weeks....due to the type of job I have.

Jane, I was off 7 weeks after surgery. I had open RNY & I ws still tired & trying to adjustto the eating changes. I didn'ttolerate protein drinks well so I needed to build up after I started eating. I wish you well. Any questions feel free to keep in touch. Pat
