GOOD NEWS!!!

I just got a call from the ARNP at the hospital where I want to have surgery and she talked to me about the special cir****tances of my case and she is on vacation next week and when she gets back my file is on the top of her pile and she is opening up more appts with her dietitian and she said and I quote "we will get you in right away"!!!! This makes me feel so much better. As for the clotting problem I have contacted the surgeons office to see if I can have a vena cava filter put in before surgery or if she can have a vascular surgeon do it or something or see what she wants to do. I am getting a little more optimistic that maybe I will be able to get this done. Heather

Heather, This is great news. Since I was at the same meeting you were. I am glad to hear that things will be able to move forward for you. I have heard of another person who had to have the filter put it. She came through it fine, although they had to leave the filter in and give her more hepren because it did catch 2 clots...small, but still. I am glad to hear that Melaine is opening more slots...waiting until Oct really would stink. Anne

Good luck to you. I was at CMC last month for a meeting. I don't have my intake until Oct 25th. Im started my diet as soon as I got back. I work at a hospital, so I have the guidance of our Nutrionist. I weighed in today and found that I have lost 10lbs. Once again, best of luck to you. Melissa
