Support Groups?

Can anyone tell me where there are support groups in NH? I am pre-op and would like to go. Joan

I know that there are groups attached to the 2 programs in Nashua, at SNHMC-meets the 1st & 3rd Wed of the month. Also there is one monthly at St. Joe. And I believe that the Hitch**** Clinic in Manchester has meeting too. Not sure about you're area. Check out the hospital web sites, that's how I found the 3 I mentioned. best of luck. diane

There are support group meetings at Dartmouth Hitch**** Medical Center in Hanover. They meet the first Friday of every month. They have a weigh in from 1 PM -1:45 PM and then the meeting starts promptly at 2. I do know that if you plan on having your surgery at their facility you have to attend the meetings there. I am in Northern NH and it is a 2 hour drive for me, but it is so worth the drive. You get a lot out of going to the meetings and you get to see graduates of the program and hear their success stories.

Hi Joan, There is a support group in Portsmouth on the 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 at the hospital. Also a pre-op meeting on the 4th Wed. (I Think). Hope this helps.:smile: Nancy

Hi Joan, I am a part of NHSeacoasters a local support group that meets the first Wednesday of every month at a church in Somersworth 6:30-8:30. This group isn't affiliated with any particular hospital program...it's for people who are at all stages of this journey.
